Horse Hauling Permit

WE CAN DO THIS SERVICE FOR YOU AND INCLUDE YOUR OWN STATE ISSUED  "Equine Ownership Certificate" card  WITH YOUR A.c.Q.H.A. REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE,  IF YOU REGISTER YOUR HORSE WITH A.c.Q.H.A.

 for an additional fee of $40.00

Why  do I  need to apply for a horse hauling permit ?

The purpose of the Equine  Hauling Permit  is to obtain an "Equine Ownership Certificate" card,  ( A.K.A. HAULING CARD)

A "Equine Ownership Certificate" card  is equivalent to the ownership title of an equine, such as the title on a vehicle. If you are traveling with your horse and you go thru an inspection station you will be asked to provide this document .Also if you need to provide proof of ownership , all you need to do is show this card.

( this is also a very important  document to add to your horses "PAPER TRAIL")

YOU DO NOT NEED TO PAY US FOR THIS SERVICE . YOU CAN APPLY YOUR SELF .

IF YOU LIVE IN ARIZONA FOR INSTANCE  YOU WOULD FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW TO OBTAIN YOUR  "Equine Ownership Certificate" card  :

 

  • Complete "New Registration" section of the  Equine Registration Application*.  (PDF)

  • Include 3 color photographs showing views of the front & both sides of the equine.

  • Include the Dam's (Mother's) certificate number, if available.

  • Each application must include a $40.00 registration fee. (Do not send cash)

  • If it cannot be proven the horse is from Arizona, the steps for the out-of-state horse registration apply.

How do I register my Out-of-State horse?

( you can order it yourself by following these simple instructions . Or we can do all the paper work for you and have  your horse registered with the State Agency that pertains to you  as well as have all the  completed registration paper work  along with the "Equine Ownership Certificate" card  sent to you with your A.c.Q.H.A. Certificate.) A $40.00 fee applies

  • Complete "New Registration" section of the  Equine Registration Application*.   (PDF)

  • Include three color photographs showing views of the front and both sides of the equine. Photos should be no larger than 4 x 6 inches and no smaller than 2 x 3 inches. Digital photographs may be submitted via email to this site via the e mail link. Send  the pictures in the  ".jpg" format only.

  • Include a copy of your horses health certificate with record of a negative equine infectious anemia test if you have one

  • Include a copy of the brand inspection, or Bill of Sale, or an Affidavit of ownership. ( somthing to show that you own the horse

  • Each application must include a $40.00 registration fee. (Do not send cash).

How do I get a horse transfer request?

The purpose of the Equine Transfer Request is to obtain an "Equine Ownership Certificate" card, that is equivalent to the ownership title of an equine, such as the title on a vehicle.

  • Fill out the REQUIREMENTS portion of the Equine Registration Application*. (PDF)

  • Seller: Must completely fill out the SELLER/TRANSFER portion of the Equine Transfer Registration Application*. (PDF) The owner(s) must sign and date. If there is more than one owner, each owner must sign. The owner(s) signature will be the only signature accepted, unless a notarized letter is presented stating that the agent has Power of Attorney authorizing the agent to sell equine on the owner(s) behalf. The Seller is also responsible to submit his/her Equine Ownership Certificate card and any duplicate cards to the Buyer.

  • Buyer: Must completely fill out the BUYER/TRANSFER portion of the Equine Transfer Registration Application*. (PDF) If there is more than one owner, each new owner must sign. The PINK copy (or one copy if obtained over the Internet) goes to the Seller, the YELLOW copy (or one copy if obtained over the Internet) is for the buyer's records. Send the WHITE copy (or one copy if obtained over the Internet) of the Equine Registration Application with the Equine Ownership Certificate card (obtain from Seller) and the $10.00 fee to the Arizona Department of Agriculture. Upon receipt of the fee, the Registration Application and the old Equine Ownership Card (including duplicates),a new Equine Ownership Certificate card will be issued in the name of the buyer(s); the certificate will be good for the life of animal or until sold.
